CLEAN AIR WEEK POSTER CONTEST WINNERS!

As part of Clean Air/Commuter Challenge Week, the Williams Lake Clean Air Week Committee invited the schools in Williams Lake and area to join us for our first poster design contest. It was a way to get students thinking and drawing about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and making changes which benefit the environment and the air they breathe.

Marie Sharpe Elementary School, Mountview and Cataline students grabbed first place and runners-up in the Clean Air Week poster contest. A special thank you goes out to 150 Mile Elementary for their participation. The students from all 4 schools submitted some spectacular artwork, making it very difficult for the judges to pick the top 9 winning posters.

The students whose posters were chosen in the top nine each won $25 to be spent at a local sport/activity store of their choice.

From the top nine winning posters chosen, three grand prize winners (one from each age category) were selected and won $100 for their classroom, to be applied toward a classroom event or activity.

The three grand prize winning posters will be the posters used to promote Clean Air Week and the Commuter Challenge, June 6th to 10th. Look for their posters around town!
