Clean Air Day Walk to School Challenge CLOSED

The Clean Air Day Walk to School Challenge is part of the Commuter Challenge - a Canada wide Clean Air Week event targeted at workplaces and schools - it gives schools a special chance to encourage students to walk or bike to school.

Clean Air Day is a chance to celebrate our environment by keeping our air clean, to share walking safety skills with children, to bring safety to our neighbourhoods and reduce crime, to address traffic congestion and pollution around our schools, and to spend valuable time with one another. All great reasons to get your school and community involved!

Thousands of British Columbia school children will join students from across Canada to celebrate walking to school on June 8th, 2011 for Clean Air Day. Join the celebration!

As part of Clean Air Week, the Williams Lake Clean Air Committee invites you and your school to join us for our first annual poster design contest. It is a way to get students thinking and drawing about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and making changes which benefit the environment.
