COMMUTER CHALLENGE 2011

Reduce air pollution! Save money! Increase fitness!

As part of Clean Air Week, the Williams Lake Clean Air Week Committee once again invite you and your team to join us for our annual Commuter Challenge, June 6th to June 10th, 2011.

The Commuter Challenge is a national program supporting workplaces as they encourage their employees to leave their cars at home and cycle, take
transit (free on June 8th), walk, carpool, rollerblade, skate or even canoe to work. Williams Lake takes this one step further and invites not only workplaces but all businesses, organizations, families, schools and individuals to join in and help protect the air, reduce their carbon footprint and become more physically active.

All individuals participating in the challenge will have the chance of winning gift certificates from local retailers. Plus, for each day that you participate, your name will be entered into our draw for a chance to win some great draw prizes. The more days you participate, the greater are your chances of winning a prize!

Teams & Individuals can win under the following categories:

  • most carbon reduced
  • highest percentage of staff participating
  • oldest & youngest participants
  • most unique transportation
Team categories:
  • School/Service Club
  • Business/Government
  • Family

*FREE TRANSIT* on Clean Air Day, June 8th, 2011.
